This breastfeeding support group for infants (non-mobile) is our longest running support group. While breastfeeding support is the group’s main focus, we have found that it is also a driving force for discussions related to parenting, returning to work, interacting with grandparents etc. It is our gauge for what our client-families are concerned about, interested in and topics that may need to be addressed by Educated Mommy.
A Certified Lactation Counselor facilitates this group.
Real life hang outs for real life parents. Led by Renee Forred, Certified Lacation Counselor (and real life mom!), we will have play dates where kids can play, babies and toddlers can feed, and we can connect around evidence based information and open dialogue about all things parenting, especially breastfeeding.
This group is aimed towards sharing the joys and struggles of breastfeeding, seeking support from other breastfeeding families, and accessing professional lactation support at no cost. However, all types of feeders at any stage of the journey are welcomed to the meet ups.
You know you’re craving some adult interaction! Come as you are, where you and your family are welcomed with open arms!
Meet ups are planned around Sioux Falls at different times to accommodate as many schedules as possible! Location details announced the month before within the event. (Outdoor meet ups will move to Educated Mommy in the event of inclement weather!)
Help protect your babies and children by attending the American Heartsavers Infant and Child CPR Training.

Bonding Through Babywearing (2nd Saturday @ 3:00pm, 3rd Saturday @ 9:00am, and 4th Tuesday @ 6:30pm)
This babywearing support group will help guide beginning babywearers as they look for information on different types of basic carriers as well as experienced babywearers in more advanced wrapping techniques. You will also have opportunities to “touch and feel” different types of woven wraps to help make purchasing decisions.
